<<<<< Laboratory & Fleet Testing >>>>>
Unlike many after-market tire products, U.S. Tire-Tech, Inc.'s products have been subjected to extensive testing by nationally recognized, independent laboratories while accumulating over 4.5 million miles of real world fleet tesing. Why would you put your tires, vehicles / equipment, and drivers / operators at risk with substandard tire additives that have not met any Tire Industry Test Standards. These type products usually result in additional tire / wheel problems and fail to perform as advertised. Also they can lead to unnecessary liability issues for end users do to the product not meeting any type of tire industry test standards.
TireSmart® has been subjected to the most stringent tire testing standards in the industry and met or exceeded industry standards including the Modified D.O.T. 119 Puncture Test. We stake our reputation on the fact that our products perform as advertised, without damage to the tires, rims, and seals.

We also have an extensive Quality Control Program with a lot tracking system should any question arise about product quality or performance. This gives customers peace of mind that they are purchasing the highest quality products available in the industry every time they order with full traceability.

OVERALL DESCRIPTION OF TEST AND SAMPLES INVOLVED
U.S.TireTech, Inc. submitted both new and used Michelin tires for testing; with and without the Merge1000 Conditioning Treatment. Used Michelin Tire with Merge1000 had been run for 188,706 miles, while used Michelin run without Merge1000 had been run for 37,344 miles.
DESCRIPTION OF TEST 1
Physical Property Analysis
RESULTS
Interliner Compound When product was applied to used tires, Elong% was reduced by 20pts., ShoreA Hardness was increased by 2pts., and Tear Resistance was decreased by 16pts.
Ply Cord Tensile Used tire breakload (lbs.) was 280 with product, 292 without product. Test inconclusive as tires had different mileage.
Belt to Carcass Adhesion (lbs./linear in.) Carcass Adhesion was increased 10 lbs./linear in. when product was added.
Corrosion Analysis Product has no effect on Steel or Aluminum.
CONCLUSION Product more than met objective. Product will not harm tire or rim. Product will protect Carcass and is better for recapping.
DESCRIPTION OF TEST 2
Tire Testing
RESULTS
Temperature Tests When treated with product, Drive Tire was 6° F cooler than untreated tire and Steer Tire was 12° cooler than untreated tire.
RR Coeficient With product the RR Coeficient was 8.25, as opposed to 8.30 when untreated.
Puncture Test Puncture test was repeated and quantified. Tire was on dynomometer at 132% of maximum rated load at 35mph. Sharpened 1/4in. bolts hammered into crown at 4 positions 90° apart. Hammered in 10:00 position several minutes after tire stopped. No measureable air loss.
CONCLUSION Product more than met objective. Product will seal punctures up to 1/4 inch thickness with no measureable air loss.

OVERALL DESCRIPTION OF TEST AND SAMPLES INVOLVED
Product performance verification of "safety-seal tire conditioner."
DESCRIPTION OF TEST 1
Physical Property Analysis
RESULTS
pH Product measured 9.1. Expected range of 8.5 to 9.5.
Specific Gravity Product measured 1.23. Expected range of 1.1 to 1.44
Freeze Point Product froze at -31°F. Expected freeze point of -30°F
Boiling Point Product boiled at >285°F. Expected boiling point of >250°F
Water Solubility Material washes easily with running tap water (luke warm).
Product has high solubility.
Product Separation No product seperation observed after 15 minutes at 5,000 RPM.
CONCLUSION Product met or exceeded all of the requirements aoulines by U.S.Tire-Tech, Inc. for the test performed and resluts presented in this report. Also, product performed as required by sealing puntures obtained during realistic, full-scale testing. All of the results obtained during these tests were obtained by or witnessed by SouthWestern Laboratories, Inc. Personel.
DESCRIPTION OF TEST 2
Performance Verification Test
RESULTS
Test 1:

For this test a 1989, 1/2 ton Chevrotet Silverado Pickup Truck, 1500 Series was used. For this test a uniroyal "Tiger Paw" P235/75/R15 tubeless tire was used.

Dismounted tire for inspection. Remounted tire to rim and re-inflated to 35 psi. Punctured tire twice with 1/4 inch awl and allowed tire to deflate to 15 psi.

Treated tire with 12 ounces of safety-seal tire conditioner as per instructions. Drove vehicle to seal 1/4 inch punctures. Inflated tire to 35 psi and drove vehicle for 10 miles at speeds from 0 to 55 mph.

Checked air pressure and recorded it at 36 psi.

Test 2:

For this test a 1976, 2 ton Chevrolet Truck - C 60 Series - Model 250 was used. For this test a Delta, 8.25-20, tube type, highway II, tire was used

Inflated tire to 79 psi. Punctured right front tire by running over board with two 1/4 inch diameter (40 penny) nails in it. Allowed tire to deflate to 68 psi.

Treated tire with 40 oz of safety-seal tire conditioner as per instructions. Inflated tire to 85 psi. Drove vehicle to seal 1/4 inch diameter punctures. Drove vehicle 16 miles at speeds of 0 to 60 mph.

Check air pressure and recorded it at 86 psi.

Corrosion Test:

One steel and aluminum coupon was tested according to ASTM D 1384, Corrosion test in glassware.

The materials tested show no signs of corrosion or deterioration. The safety-seal tire conditioner easily washed off of the materials with water, leaving no residue.
Immersion Test of Inner Tire Materials

The rubber tire spicimen tested showed no sign of deterioration, swelling or attack from safety-seal tire conditioner. the conditioner washed off easily with cold running water. A common sealing patch was applied to the specimen using standard pather application procedures. The patch adhere without problem
CONCLUSION Product more than met objective. Product will seal punctures up to 1/4 inch thickness with no measureable air loss. Product will not corrode steel or aluminum. Product will not cause deterioration or swelling in tire.
